A film I’ve enjoyed recently is Enemy, directed by Denis Villeneuve (He directed Dune…and he is currently one of my favorite directors) and starring Jake Gyllenhaal. First off…the acting by Gyllenhaal alone in this makes it worth a watch. But the psychological themes are what gripped me into this film, along with its Lynchian symbolic usage.

Anyway, it provides some thought-provoking imagery on the nature of your subconscious, desire, and the habitual cycles we find ourselves in as humans. Plus, it provides wonderful commentary on how we position our relationships around sexual desire. Pay attention to the beginnings connection with the ending…cycles:)
