Great essay. JoJo has been wearing a costume ever since she was a child. If you take a look at her Instagram, she's always dressed up in costume. She never got the chance to live a life as an authentic kid, let alone a young adult. It's hard to believe her "bad girl era," since she never released bubblegum pop music. It's like she went from being JoJo Siwa with the bad ponytail to JoJo Siwa the bad girl with the ugly costumes.
