Intro of what this episode is about… So, there's this trend in the influencer and guru world of trying to make God cool again. You've got your Petersons, your Hubermans, your Rogans, all preaching their own brand of spirituality, self-improvement, and self-optimization.
I have noticed a definite trend toward recognition of the Oneness of everything; that there is, in fact, only One Thing. (Used to be referred to as universal consciousness.) It is an idea whose time has come. I see the reemergence of God-talk to be coincident with that.
The One Thing is not a god, or God. By definition, God is separate from everything else, but the One Thing IS Everything. Given the atrocities committed in His name I refuse to conflate God with the One Thing. It’s not a question of “whatever you conceive Him to be.” They are NOT the same thing at all.
The One Thing is the new, all-in-one package. No priests, no money-makers, no Sky Daddy. The higher authority is us and everything else. It costs nothing to understand it, and it is priceless. 😊
